Welcome back to I suck at street photography, a new and poorly made POV YouTube series about trying to improve my poor street photography by getting out and shooting more. I’m tired of coming home with shots I’m not super proud of, so join me in this weekly POV series where I intend on doing my best at improving.

For this extremely sunny episode we start on Elizabeth Street, work the scene a bit, take photos of the sun, eat chips and make very, very bad street photos. This week I tried to focus on shadows, bad sun stars and COVID face masks, why? Because composition is far from my strong suit.

I've been taking terrible street shots on and off since around 2014. I started this site in a attempt to better understand the process of photography and write about it at the same time. While I’m obsessed with gear like pretty much all photography nerds, I’m also obsessed with good photographs that make us feel something. I hoping that through this site my photography will develop into something that makes you feel something (other than complete disappointment, of course).
