A couple of weeks back I took my GR3 to the Melbourne Cup to shoot some street and do my very best Martin Parr impression in line with his Luxury series.
Took the FAMBAM to the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show and it was a BLAST! If you’re not familiar with the term “show” it loosely translates to “State Fair” or evening “Carnival” for those who find themselves not Australian. I took the opportunity to shoot some family stuff along with a bunch of fun street shots.
I was lucky enough to join in the crowd as Melbourne lead the charge on the Global Strike 4 Climate protest on Friday that saw over 100,000 protesters take the the streets to raise awareness for Climate Change.
Took my beloved Ricoh GR to the beach, but I didn't want to get it wet. To avoid unwanted moisture I brought with me my super limited, super secretive, limited run water housing...
Join me on the streets of Melbourne as I wander around aimlessly with my Ricoh GR and make some truly terrible photographs (I found an oven this time!). Along the way I share my thoughts on this little pocket sized monster of a street shooter
The Ricoh GR is my favourite camera of all time and I'll tell you why.
Work sent me on a week long trip to Sydney so used some of my off time to shoot some terribly touristy shots and a little street (of course). To be honest, it's mainly touristy shots with a the occasional street shot, but the Opera House is a magnificent building and I had fun shooting it!
I managed to cop a freebie ticket to the 2018 AFL Grand Final between Collingwood and West Coast. While I had no vested interest in either team winning, Collingwood fans are insufferable at the best of times so watching their team fail in front of them was the ultimate prize. I captured some of the action inside the MCG, but there was more action outside after the game. Shot with my Ricoh GR and converted to Black & White for justice.
JC heads back into Melbourne’s Chinatown with his tiny Ricoh GR to shoot some afternoon street. You’ll see all the […]
JC heads back into Melbourne's CBD with his tiny Ricoh GR to tour some of the iconic laneways early in the morning. You'll see all the results, even the terrible ones!
The near weightless Ricoh R10, produced in collaboration with Elle Magazine in 2002 could be one of the last Ricoh point and shoot fun boxes created.
I grew up in Ballarat and since moving away, I always try to make it back home to explore. This photo series covers the sights, nooks, crannies and hot spots that make up this oddball heritage listing obsessed town. There's some street, some urban, some documentary and landscape in an effort to give you a glimpse of Ballarat from my point of view.
I was lucky enough to head into Melbourne's CBD to check out White Night, the free festival that Melbourne puts on where they project, colourise and generally sex up key buildings around the place. It was crazy packed and allowed me to get a couple of street snaps while out and about.
When I travel, I try to travel as light as humanly possible. Laptop, phone, single camera and lens, HDD, SD […]
A short piece on Melbourne’s streets, surrounds, locations and oddities. Captured in 2016-17. Mostly unposted and unshared photographs from the […]
